SculptureSuicide . . . The forever decision

Forever gone - I must be dreaming,
Never more to see your face,
A voice inside my soul is screaming,
Through the silence of this place.

Forever gone - was there a reason,
Something that I could not see?
Could you not bear another season,
Of the life you shared with me?

They tell me that your angst was deeper,
Pain embedded deep within.
A life you deemed as somehow cheaper,
Than it ever should have been.

What was the cause of all this sorrow,
Which you felt you couldn't share?
Enough to make you dread the morrow.
Pain I could have helped you bear.

Forever gone - still unbelieving
How a soul could choose to die
And leave the ones who loved you grieving
With no chance to say goodbye

Forever gone - too great to measure
Tears of sorrow locked inside
You took my life and all I treasure
When you chose to suicide

Larry's younger sister, Diana, carved the sculpture, pictured at
the top of this page, shortly after Larry's death.
She named it "Sherry's pain".
