Larry

Larry,
In the daytime my mind tells me that you are gone.
But at night I hear you call when the rooms are quiet
and the lights are out.  I hear your footsteps next to mine.

Your breath whispers by my ear, and...just there...in
the shadows...I can see your face.

At night I hear you call my name, beckoning, luring me
to your side.

Brushing my cheek with phantom fingers, whispering
urging - tempting me to come with you.

I try not to listen.  I try to endure.  I try to continue alone.
Oh Larry how I miss you...

But again I hear you call and I know you're so close.
I want to succumb to your plea, to follow you, to spend
eternity by your side.

but I don't remember where you said you would be.

I love you.
